Deposits, Cancellations, Punctuality and No Shows
Sadly due to repeat no shows we now have no choice but to ask for a deposit of £20 per pet. This will be required upon your first booking with Fay`s Diamond Dog Grooming.
Please inform us within 48 hours’ notice of your appointment if you need to cancel, this enables us sufficient time to fill that space from our waiting list. Failure to inform us will result in the deposit being lost.
Non-attendance of your allocated appointment will also result in the deposit being lost. Furthermore, a further deposit of £20 will be required to secure a further appointment.
We do understand that emergencies can arise but please if you cannot make your appointment let us know as soon as possible so we can allocate that appointment to a waiting list customer.
Please try to be punctual for your pet’s appointment, we like our diamond dogs to settle into the grooming process in a calming and compliant way. We aim to make the grooming process as pleasant as possible for your pet and this helps when it is not rushed. We allocate a time slot for your pet based on the coat/desired style and temperament. Arriving late may result in a refusal of groom and any deposit lost.
Repeat offenders that miss appointments and fail to be punctual may also result in a refusal to re-book.
Data ProtectionAs part of the Data Protection Act revision in May 2018 now the ‘General Data Protection Regulations’ (GDPR) it is now necessary for me to inform and update you of the information I keep about you and your dog, how it is used and stored, and to receive permission for specific information to be stored and used.
The following information is stored on a hard copy as the ‘Dog Grooming Client Card’ and as a soft copy on the computer/smart phone including photographs of your pet. Data is kept in secure filing and on encrypted software:
The data allows myself and staff to communicate with you about appointments, and to advise you when your dog is ready for collection.
Rest assured this data is never shared with any third parties.

Any non-returning customer cards will be destroyed within 3 years.
Over the next few months I will be asking you to sign a form to ensure you continue to agree for this information being stored.
Due to the updated legal requirements, please note that failure of your agreement and signature will unfortunately mean I/we will be unable to groom your pet.
